Rangers may be without Del Zotto vs. Capitals

New York Rangers defenseman Michael Del Zotto missed practice Tuesday because he has the flu and did not travel for his team's game against the Washington Capitals on Wednesday.

"He is not flying in [Tuesday], he's not feeling well," Rangers coach Alain Vigneault told reporters. "We'll see how he feels [Wednesday], but unless energy-wise he feels a lot better, he's not going to play."

Justin Falk skated in Del Zotto's spot on the third defense pairing with John Moore during practice Tuesday. Falk made his Rangers debut in Saturday's 5-3 road loss to the St. Louis Blues, playing 5:18 with one shot on goal and two minor penalties.

Del Zotto, who has missed nine games in his three full seasons in the NHL, has no points in five games this season.
