The Rochester Americans will host to the Lake Erie Monsters in a regular-season American Hockey League game to be played at Frontier Field on Dec. 13.

The game will be part of "Frozen Frontier," an outdoor hockey festival that will run through Dec. 22 and include men's and women's college and high school hockey games and a matchup between alumni of the Americans and the Buffalo Sabres on Dec. 15.

"This will be an exciting week for the city of Rochester, the state of New York and, of course, the game of hockey," Ted Black, president of the Rochester Americans, said Tuesday in a statement. "With more than 10 teams coming from all corners of the state, and from all levels of the game, to play hockey, this will be a tremendous event to showcase the exceptional hockey teams we have in this region."
