St. John's IceCaps of the AHL hire new goaltending coach Dusty Emoo

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - The St. John’s IceCaps of the American Hockey League have hired Dusty Imoo as their developmental goaltending coach.

The IceCaps are the farm team of the NHL's Winnipeg Jets.

Imoo, 43, spent the last two seasons with the Seattle Thunderbirds of the Western Hockey League.

Prior to that, he was a goaltending consultant for the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL. Imoo also owns and operates Real Deal Training, which creates off-season conditioning and training programs for athletes.

Imoo played 15 seasons in the Japan Ice Hockey League, IHL, AHL and ECHL.

He played for Japan at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano and participated in four world championships.
