Report: Devils agree with Zubrus, close with Elias

According to multiple media reports, New Jersey Devils forward Dainius Zubrus confirmed Monday that he has agreed to terms on a new three-year contract with the club worth $9.3 million.

In addition, it's reported the Devils are close to a new deal with forward Patrik Elias, who would become an unrestricted free agent on July 5.

Zubrus, 35, has spent the past six seasons with the Devils. He had two goals and nine points in 22 games for New Jersey in 2012-13 after posting 17 goals and 44 points while playing 82 games in '11-12.

Elias, 37, has played all 1,090 of his NHL games with the Devils, who drafted him in the second round in 1994, and is the franchise leader in goals (375), assists (555) and points (930).
