Teemu time: Selanne enjoys return to post-season, leads Ducks into Game 2 vs. Detroit

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Teemu Selanne figures he has scored a "couple hundred" goals from the left faceoff circle in his 20-year NHL career.

His most recent score from that sweet spot put the Anaheim Ducks on top of the Detroit Red Wings, who got another reminder of the Finnish Flash's playoff potency.

The 42-year-old Selanne scored the winner in the clubs' first-round series opener, erasing a slow finish to the regular season with yet another key goal.

While Selanne was grateful for the goal, he gave much of the credit for the second-seeded Ducks' victory to the line centred by fellow Finn Saku Koivu that shut down Detroit's top line led by captain Henrik Zetterberg.

The Red Wings realize they've got to raise their game to compete with the Ducks in Game 2 on Thursday night.
