Ben Maxwell scores twice as IceCaps defeat Monarchs 4-3

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Ben Maxwell scored twice as the St. John's IceCaps edged the Manchester Monarchs 4-3 in American Hockey League action Sunday.

Eric O'Dell had a goal and two assists for St. John's, while Aaron Gagnon added three helpers.

O'Dell now has a team-record five-game goal-scoring streak, while Gagnon has picked up points in 10 straight games, tying Paul Postma's club record.

Kael Mouillierat also scored for St. John's while Josh Lunden picked up a pair of assists.

Linden Vey, Brandon Kozun and Marc-Andre Cliche responded for Manchester.

Mark Dekanich made 32 saves for the IceCaps (27-33-5).

Martin Jones stopped 29 shots for the Monarchs (30-28-7).
