SPOKANE, Wash. - Blake Gal scored twice and Mike Aviani had a goal and an assist as the Spokane Chiefs downed the visiting Tri-City Americans 6-4 on Saturday in Western Hockey League playoff action.
Todd Fiddler, Liam Stewart and Tyler King also scored for the Chiefs, who now have a 2-0 series lead, while Mitch Holmberg chipped in with two assists.
Eric Williams made 15 saves for the win as Troy Trembley stopped 24-of-30 shots in defeat.
Spokane went 0 for 1 on the power play while Tri-City scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
Game 3 is set for Tuesday when the Americans host the Chiefs at the Toyota Center.
