ERIE, Pa. - Anthony Stolarz made 30 saves Wednesday as the London Knights defeated the Erie Otters 3-1 in the Ontario Hockey League.

Owen MacDonald, Bo Horvat and Miles Liberati had the goals for London (48-13-5), which got two assists from Josh Anderson.

Connor Crisp scored the only goal for Erie (18-40-8). Oscar Dansk made 21 saves in taking the loss.

The Knights played without three key regulars — defenceman Scott Harrington and forwards Seth Griffith and Matt Rupert. Griffith, who has missed the past month with a hand injury, and Rupert have a combined 59 goals and 128 points this season.

The Knights took a 1-0 lead on Liberati's third of the season at 11:24 of the first, with Max Domi picking up an assist for his team-leading 85th point.

After a scoreless second period, London extended its lead on Horvat's 32nd goal of the season at 4:49 of the third before making it 3-0 on MacDonald's first in the OHL at 9:26.

Fellow rookie Paxton Leroux had an assist on the goal for his first career point.

The Otters finally broke through Stolarz and the Knights' defence midway through the third on a short-handed goal from Crisp, his 22nd of the campaign.

Erie had a chance at another short-handed goal late in the game, but Stolarz stopped Otters rookie Connor McDavid in close to preserve London's two-goal advantage.
