Scheifele with five points as Colts edge IceDogs

ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - Mark Scheifele's five-point game lifted the Barrie Colts to a 6-5 victory over the host Niagara IceDogs in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.

Scheifele's third goal of the game, and second on the power play, with 3:38 left in the third period proved to be the game-winner.

The Winnipeg Jets first-round draft pick added two assists for the Colts (42-19-4) while Anthony Camara, Zach Hall and Erik Bradford added a goal each.

Mack Lemmon scored twice for the IceDogs (30-31-4) as Ryan Strome, Brett Ritchie and Carter Verhaeghe added singles.

Strome's goal was the 100th of his career with Niagara and Ritchie's was his 40th of the season.

Strome left the game in the third period with what appeared to be a foot injury after blocking a shot.

Alex Fotinos picked up the win in goal making 19 saves. Chris Festarini turned aside 24 shots in the loss.

Barrie were 2 for 6 on the power play while Niagara was 1 for 4.
