Lowry scores twice as the Broncos edge the Warriors

MOOSE JAW, Sask. - Adam Lowry scored both of his club's goals as the Swift Current Broncos edged the host Moose Jaw Warriors 2-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Lowry opened the scoring for the Broncos (33-29-7) with a power-play goal 6:25 into the first period and then added the eventual winner at 15:58. Coda Gordon picked up an assist on each goal.

Carter Hansen scored a power-play goal for the Warriors (23-35-10) midway through the third period to bring his club within one goal, however that was as close as they would come as Eetu Laurikainen stopped 25-of-26 shots for Swift Current.

Justin Paulic made 17 saves for Moose Jaw.

The Broncos were 1 for 1 on the power play while the Warriors scored once on four chances with the man advantage.
