Sanvido goal in third caps comeback as Thunderbirds defeat Chiefs 4-2

SPOKANE, Wash. - Connor Sanvido's short-handed goal in third completed a Seattle comeback as the Thunderbirds defeated the Spokane Chiefs 4-2 in the WHL.

Roberts Lipsbergs, Shea Theodore and Riley Sheen, into an empty-net goal, also scored for Seattle (23-37-8), which is in seventh place in the Western Conference Playoff Standings. They have 54 points and are two points ahead of the eighth place Everett Silvertips.

Carter Proft and Mike Aviani had the goals for the Chiefs (39-25-2), who lead 2-0 in the second period before the Thunderbirds rallied with four straight goals.

Brandon Glover ended up stopping 27 of 29 shots for Seattle. He turned away a penalty shot by Brenden Kichton at the 16:20 mark of the third period.

Eric Williams made 26 saves on 29 shots for Spokane.
