SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. - Curtis Valk and Miles Koules scored in the shootout as the Medicine Hat Tigers edged the host Swift Current Broncos 2-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.
Logan McVeigh scored in regulation for the Tigers (31-28-3), who won for the first time in three outings, and Marek Langhamer stopped 28-of-29 shots for the victory.
Adam Lowry scored the lone goal for the Broncos (28-26-7) and Eetu Laurikainen earned the game's first star after turning away 39 shots in a losing cause.
Both clubs went 1 for 3 on the power play.
