Jones scores twice, Rask three assists as the Hitmen down the Pats

CALGARY - Zane Jones scored twice and Victor Rask had three assists as the Calgary Hitmen downed the visiting Regina Pats 5-2 on Sunday in Western Hockey League action.

Rask's three assists extend his point streak to six games and he has five goals and six assists during his run. Since being sent back to junior from the American Hockey League's Charlotte Checkers, the native of Sweden has produced 11 goals and 29 points in 26 games.

Colten Mayor, Brady Brassart and Pavlo Padakin also scored for the Hitmen (39-17-4), who have won back-to-back contests.

Morgan Klimchuk and Lane Scheidl scored for the Pats (20-33-6), who have lost three games in a row and six of their last seven.

Calgary's back-up goaltender Mack Shields only had to make 13 saves for the win as Teagan Sacher stopped 23 shots in a losing cause for Regina.

The Hitmen went 2 for 5 on the power play while the Pats scored once on five chances with the man advantage.
