OTTAWA - Michael Giugovaz stopped 36 shots as the Peterborough Petes downed the host Ottawa 67's 5-1 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.
Stephen Pierog had a goal and two assists for the Petes (20-29-7), who won their third game in a row, while Jonatan Tanus had a goal and an assist.
Brett Findlay, Michael Clarke and Nick Ritchie each scored once to round out Peterborough's offence.
Sean Monahan scored the lone goal for the 67's (15-37-4), who dropped their third game in a row, and Jacob Blair made 37 saves in a losing cause.
Peterborough went 1 for 4 on the power play while Ottawa failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
