Calgary Hitmen ride strong second period past Tri-City Americans 6-2

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Calgary Hitmen scored four goals on eight shots in the second period en route to a 6-2 victory Tuesday over the Tri-City Americans in Western Hockey League action.

Victor Rask scored three goals, Brooks Macek had a goal and two assists, and Pavlo Padakin dished up two assists as Calgary (37-16-4) improved to 4-0 against the U.S. Division.

Brady Brassart and Clayton Chase also scored for the Hitmen, who are third in the Eastern Conference.

Chris Driedger finished with 31 saves for Calgary, which was outshot by Tri-City 33-20.

Jesse Mychan scored the Americans (31-22-3) lone goal, while Luke Lee-Knight and Troy Tombley combined for 14 saves in the loss.

Tri-City, which has lost three in a row, is sixth in the Western Conference, one point behind Spokane.
