Sarault becomes new OHL points leader as the Sting down the Colts in OT

SARNIA, Ont. - Charles Sarault took over the Ontario Hockey League points lead on Sunday as the Sarnia Sting downed the visiting Barrie Colts 6-5 in overtime.

The 20-year-old forward scored once and added four assists and the five-point outing gives him 85 points in 54 games. Sarault jumped over Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds' forward Ryan Sproul, who has 83 points in 53 games.

Reid Boucher scored twice for the Sting (30-21-3), including the winner, while Anthony DeAngelo had a goal and two assists.

Boucher now has 49 goals in 54 contests to lead all OHL skaters in scoring.

Brett Hargrave and Bryan Moore also scored for Sarnia and Alex Basso chipped in with two assists.

Mark Scheifele scored twice for the Colts (34-16-3), who have dropped back-to-back games, and Zach Hall and Steven Beyers each had three assists.

Since being returned from the Winnipeg Jets, Scheifele has produced six points in three games.

Aaron Ekblad, Josh MacDonald and Anthony Camara also scored to round out Barrie's offence.

Sarnia's JP Anderson stopped 32-of-37 shots for the win as Barrie's Mathias Niederberger made 24 saves in a losing cause.

Sarnia went 2 for 5 on the power play while Barrie scored three times on five chances with the man advantage.
