KENT, Wash. - Ty Rattie scored once and set up three more as the Portland Winterhawks downed the host Seattle Thunderbirds 5-3 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.
Nicolas Petan and Brendan Leipsic each had a goal and two assists for the Winterhawks (42-7-3) while Shaun MacPherson and Oliver Bjorkstrand added a goal apiece.
Connor Honey, Shea Theodore and Alexander Delnov scored for the Thunderbirds (19-29-4).
Brendan Burke made 23 saves for the win as Danny Mumaugh stopped 36 shots in defeat.
Portland went 3 for 10 on the power play while Seattle failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
