MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Scott Sabourin scored a pair of early goals to lead the Oshawa Generals to a 2-0 victory over the host Mississauga Steelheads on Friday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Scott Laughton assisted on both goals for the Generals (28-18-4), who sit third in the Eastern Conference, while Daniel Altshuller made 20 saves for the shutout.
Spencer Martin stopped 30-of-32 shots for the Steelheads (22-23-4), who are seventh in the Eastern Conference.
Oshawa finished 1 for 9 on the power play while Mississauga failed to score on eight chances with the man advantage.
Sabourin opened the scoring with a power-play goal 3:56 into the first period and then he added his second goal of the game at 8:48.
