Theodore has two goals as Thunderbirds end skid with 6-1 win over Cougars

KENT, Wash. - Shea Theodore had two goals and Brandon Glover made 29 saves as the Seattle Thunderbirds ended a three-game losing streak with a 6-1 Western Hockey League victory over the Prince George Cougars on Tuesday.

Seattle (19-28-4) strengthened its hold on the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, while Prince George (15-29-4) drops to six points behind the Thunderbirds in ninth place.

Seattle took control of the game when Luke Lockhart scored his 15th goal of the season just 28 seconds after the opening faceoff.

Theodore added two more goals in the period to give the Thunderbirds a 3-0 lead.

Connor Honey made it 4-0 with his 13th goal in the third period before Chase Witala ended the shutout with a goal at 5:17 of the final period.

Griffin Foulk added the first goal of his WHL career for Seattle and Justin Hickman scored his 11th of the season to make the final 6-1.

Alexander Delnov had three assists for the T-birds.

Mac Engel made 32 saves for Prince George.
