Mathias Niederberger stopped 58 shots as the Barrie Colts came from behind to beat the visiting Kitchener Rangers 6-3 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.

It was the eighth time this season that the 20-year-old faced 40 or more shots in a game and in 36 starts this year he's seen the third most shots against of any goaltender in the league.

Anthony Camara had two goals and an assist for the Colts (31-13-2), who trailed 3-1 after 40 minutes of play before scoring five unanswered goals in the third period.

Andreas Athanasiou, Dylan Corson, Mitchell Theoret and Tyson Fawcett also scored for Barrie and Zach Hall added three assists.

Matia Marcantuoni, Tobias Rieder and Ben Thomson replied for the Rangers (25-14-6) and John Gibson made 40 saves in a losing cause.

Barrie went 2 for 5 on the power play while Kitchener scored once on nine chances with the man advantage.

Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Peterborough 5, Niagara 4; Owen Sound 4, Belleville 0; Oshawa 6, Kingston 1; Sault Ste. Marie 7, Plymouth 3; and Erie 4, Saginaw 2.

At Barrie, Ont., Thomson opened the scoring 8:04 into the first period for Kitchener.

Camara responded at 12:10, however Rieder scored on the power play to make it 2-1 for the Rangers after 20 minutes of play.

Kitchener put 23 shots against Niederberger in the second period, but couldn't pull away on the scoreboard as Marcantuoni was the only player to get one past the netminder.

Trailing 3-1 after 40 minutes of play, Barrie finally found its offence in the third period as they scored five times, including four goals in a span of 5:57.

Camara and Theoret both scored power-play goals to tie the game 3-3 and Anthanasiou gave the Colts their first lead of the game at 8:17.

Fawcett made it a two-goal game at 10:03 and Corson scored into an empty net in the final minute to secure the win for Barrie.
