SAULT STE MARIE, Ont. - Tyler Gaudet's goal at 7:36 of the third period held up as the winner as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds beat the visiting Mississauga Steelheads 3-1 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.
Darnell Nurse and David Broll also scored for the Greyhounds (22-18-3) while Nick Cousins assisted on all three of his club's goals.
Spenser Cobbold scored the lone goal for the Steelheads (20-17-4), who are winless in four games.
Matt Murray stopped 30 shots for the win as Spencer Martin made 40 saves in a losing cause.
Sault Ste. Marie went 1 for 5 on the power play while Mississauga was 0 for 3.
