EDMONTON - Tristan Jarry turned aside all 24 shots he faced for his third shutout of the season as the Edmonton Oil Kings blanked the Vancouver Giants 5-0 in Western Hockey League action Saturday night.

The Delta, B.C. native entered the night second in the league with a 1.93 goals-against average to go along with a third-ranked .926 save percentage.

Cody Corbett, Stephane Legault, Dylan Wruck, Brett Pollock and Ashton Sautner scored for Edmonton (27-8-5).

Jared Rathjen stopped 28 shots in net for Vancouver (11-29-0).

Corbett opened up the scoring for the Oil Kings just 1:44 into the game on the power play, rifling a point shot through traffic behind Rathjen.

Legault expanded Edmonton's lead to 2-0 after converting a spinning pass from T.J. Foster up and over the blocker of Rathjen at 14:31 of the second.

At 4:26 of the third, Wruck made it 3-0 as he tucked home a backhand deke to finish off a two-on-one with Henrik Samuelsson, who assisted on the goal.

Pollock put the game out of reach at 8:23 with a bullet from the top of the left face-off circle and Sautner added the fifth goal with 1:36 remaining.

Edmonton went 1 for 8 on the power play while Vancouver failed to score on four chances with the man advantage.
