Luke Philp's two goals pace Kootenay Ice past Red Deer Rebels 4-1

CRANBROOK, B.C. - Luke Philp scored twice as the Kootenay Ice beat the Red Deer Rebels 4-1 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.

Sam Reinhart and Jeff Hubic also scored for the Ice (13-24-1), who are on a three-game winning streak for the third time this season.

Hubic's goal, into an empty net, was his first in 95 career games.

Rhyse Dieno had the lone goal for Red Deer (22-16-3).

Kootenay goaltender Mackenzie Skapski made 29 saves, while Bolton Pouliot stopped 34 shots for the Rebels.
