Ben Chiarot stars in overtime as IceCaps rally past Crunch with five goals

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Ben Chiarot scored in overtime to cap a five-goal rally by St. John's as the IceCaps blew past the Syracuse Crunch 5-4 on Saturday in American Hockey League action.

Eric O'Dell had the first of St. John's (15-17-1) five unanswered goals at the 8:31 mark of the second period. Paul Postma, Jason Gregoire and Will O'Neill rounded out the scoring for the IceCaps.

Eddie Pasquale made 29 saves for the win.

Cory Conacher opened scoring for Syracuse (19-7-5). Alex Killorn, Keith Aulie and Vladislav Namestnikov also found the back of the net as the Crunch built a 4-0 lead.

Riku Helenius stopped 28 shots for Syracuse.

St. John's was 0 for 3 with the man advantage, while the Crunch went 2 for 4 on the power play.
