Cousins with three points as the Greyhounds down the Spirit

SAGINAW, Mich. - Nick Cousins scored once and set up two more as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds downed the host Saginaw Spirit 6-4 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League play.

David Broll had two goals for the Greyhounds (14-15-2), who won for the first time in three outings, and Ryan Sproul chipped in with three assists.

Colin Miller, Dylan Staples and Nick Halagian each scored once to round out Sault Ste. Marie's offence.

Eric Locke scored twice for the Spirit (13-16-4) while Garret Ross and Vincent Trocheck had a goal apiece.

Justin Nichols made 36 saves for the victory as Nikita Serebryakov turned aside 23-of-28 shots in a losing cause.

Sault Ste. Marie went 2 for 4 on the power play while Saginaw scored once on seven chances with the man advantage.
