PETERBOROUGH, Ont. - Alex Galchenyuk scored three times and set up one more to lead the Sarnia Sting to a 5-2 win over the host Peterborough Petes in Ontario Hockey League action on Saturday.

Reid Boucher scored two goals for the Sting (15-11-2) and Charles Sarault chipped in with three assists.

Alan Quine and Jonatan Tanus scored for the Petes (6-20-3), who have lost eight of their last 10 games.

JP Anderson made 39 saves for the win as Michael Giugovaz stopped 21-of-25 shots in a losing cause.

Sarnia went 1 for 2 on the power play while Peterborough scored once on six chances with the man advantage.

The Petes dominated the second period, outshooting the Sting 15-3, but weren't able to solve Anderson.

Galchenyuk took advantage of a Peterborough penalty and scored at the 18-minute mark to give the Sting a 2-1 lead heading into the final period.

Boucher extended Sarnia's lead 5:51 into the third before Tanus responded for Peterborough at 16:57.

Boucher made it 4-2 just over a minute later and Galchenyuk finished off the game with an empty-net goal in the final minute.
