LONDON, Ont. - Kevin Bailie made 24 saves for his second shutout of the season and Alex Broadhurst scored a pair of first-period goals as the London Knights topped the visiting Peterborough Petes 2-0 on Friday in Ontario Hockey League play.
The Knights (18-5-2) have now won 10 straight games and have moved one point ahead of the Owen Sound Attack for first overall in the OHL standings.
The Petes (5-17-3) have dropped three in a row and have just one win in their past 11 outings to sit last overall with just 13 points.
Matt D'Agostini stopped 36-of-38 shots in the loss and is now winless in 10 games on the season.
Broadhurst's game winner was finished on a two-on-one as Seth Griffith gathered in the puck just before the Peterborough blue line and feathered a pass across at 11:17 of the first.
Griffith now has 25 points, including eight goals, during a 12-game point streak.
London was 0-for-6 on the power play while Peterborough went 0-for-3.
