Steven Shipley had two goals and Ryan Strome had two assists on Saturday as the Niagara IceDogs scored a 4-2 win over the host Ottawa 67's in Ontario Hockey League play.

Shipley now has three goals and six points in his last three games while Strome is on a seven-game point streak that includes six goals and 10 assists.

Brook Hiddink and Brett Ritchie also scored for the IceDogs (15-7-1) who have now won three straight, while Christopher Festarini made 23 saves for the win.

The 67's (6-14-2) got goals from Remy Giftopoulos and Brett Gustavsen in the loss, their sixth in as many outings. They were also outshot 44-25 by the IceDogs and were kept in the game by the goaltending of Jacob Blair.

"I was happy with our effort and Jacob Blair gave us a chance to be in the game. We will learn from this and move on," said 67's coach Chris Byrne.

The 67's were 0 for 3 on the power play while the IceDogs went 2 for 7. Despite that stat, Niagara coach Marty Williamson wasn't happy with his special teams.

"Our power play wasn't good but we found a way to win because of our talent up front," he said.

Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Erie 3, Guelph 2 (SO); Belleville 3, Plymouth 2 (OT); Mississauga 2, Peterborough 1; Brampton 4, Saginaw 1; Barrie 6, Windsor 5 (OT) and Owen Sound 4, Kitchener 0.

At Ottawa, Hiddink and Gustavsen traded goals in the first period to make it 1-1 after 20 minutes of play.

Giftopoulos made it 2-1 for Ottawa at 15:57 of the second period, however Shipley scored on the power play less than two minutes later to once again tie the game.

Ritchie gave Niagara its first lead of the game with a power-play goal 2:27 into the third period and Shipley added his second goal of the game at 11:27.
