CALGARY - Alex Roach scored twice and added an assist as the Calgary Hitmen downed the visiting Victoria Royals 5-2 on Friday in Western Hockey League play.
Brady Brassart had a goal and two assists for the Hitmen (13-4-3), who have won five games in a row, while Pavlo Padakin and Elliot Peterson added a goal apiece.
Tyler Stahl and Steven Hodges scored for the Royals (9-10-0), who have now dropped six straight contests.
Chris Driedger made 27 saves for the win as Coleman Vollrath stopped 21 shots in a losing cause.
Calgary went 2-for-8 on the power play while Victoria went 1-for-5 with the man advantage.
