Philippe Maillet scored three times and set up two others as the Victoriaville Tigres crushed the visiting Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 7-1 on Friday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
The 20-year-old forward has produced eight points in his last two outings and now has 10 goals and 24 points in 16 games, which places him second in team scoring behind Phillip Danault.
Danault chipped in a single assist to improve his team-leading point total to 12 goals and 30 points in 19 games.
Michael Clarke scored the lone goal for the Screaming Eagles (5-9-4).
Brandon Whitney made 17 saves for the win as David Honzik took the loss after allowing six goals on 24 shots before getting pulled midway through the second period. Alex Bureau stopped 13-of-14 shots in 34 minutes of relief.
Victoriaville went 2 for 7 on the power play while Cape Breton scored once on four chances with the man advantage.

At Victoriaville, Que., Delisle opened the scoring with a short-handed goal 4:42 into the opening period.
Vance added a power-play goal for the Tigres at 12:35 and Hudon made it 3-0 Victoriaville before the first period was through.
Maillet made it 4-0 with a power-play goal at 5:42 of the second period before Clarke responded for the Screaming Eagles 24 seconds later with a goal by way of the man advantage.
Maillet and Miceli each added another goal for Victoriaville to make it 6-1 after 40 minutes of play.
Maillet scored his third goal of the game at 2:12 of the third period.
