Teagan Sacher made 28 saves Wednesday for his first career Western Hockey League shutout as the Regina Pats defeated the Kooteany Ice 3-0.
Lane Scheidl scored twice for Regina (6-7-1), while Colten Mayor added a goal and an assist.
Mackenzie Skapski made 17 saves in defeat for Kootenay (4-8-0), which lost defenceman Spencer Wand early after he was handed a game misconduct for a fight with Regina's Trent Oullette.
Elsewhere in the WHL it was: Moose Jaw 3, Lethbridge 2; Brandon 3, Vancouver 2; Medicine Hat 4, Kelowna 3 (SO); and Prince George 4, Spokane 2.
At Cranbrook, B.C., the Pats opened the scoring on the ensuing power play as Lane Scheidl skated through the slot and scored with a backhand high glove side.
Regina made it 2-0 early in the second off a faceoff as Mayor scored on a backhand of his own after being left alone in front.
Scheidl got his second of the game late in the period off a feed from Mayor on a 2-on-1 to make the score 3-0.

At Moose Jaw, Sask., three goals in a 7:20 span in second was enough to propel the Warriors (6-5-2) over Lethbridge (6-7-1).
