CRANBROOK, B.C. - Teagan Sacher made 28 saves Wednesday for his first career Western Hockey League shutout as the Regina Pats defeated the Kooteany Ice 3-0.

Lane Scheidl scored twice for Regina (6-7-1), while Colten Mayor added a goal and an assist.

Mackenzie Skapski made 17 saves in defeat for Kootenay (4-8-0), which lost defenceman Spencer Wand to a game misconduct early after he was handed a game misconduct after a fight with Regina's Trent Oullette.

The Pats opened the scoring on the ensuing power play as Lane Scheidl skated through the slot and scored with a backhand shot high glove side.

Regina made it 2-0 early in the second off a faceoff win as Mayor scored on a backhand of his own after being left alone in front.

Scheidl got his second of the game late in the period off a feed from Mayor on a 2-on-1 to make the score 3-0.
