Finn with three points as the Storm down the Spirit 8-5

SAGINAW, Mich. - Matt Finn scored twice and set up one more as the Guelph Storm downed the host Saginaw Spirit 8-5 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

The 18-year-old Toronto Maple Leafs' prospect now has five goals and 12 points in 11 games, which is good for second in scoring for OHL defenceman. He sits two points behind the Niagara IceDogs' Dougie Hamilton, who has 14 points in 13 contests.

Hunter Garlent had one goal and three assists for the Storm (8-2-1), who won their fourth straight contest, and Jason Dickinson had a goal and two assists.

Tanner Richard and Scott Kosmachuk each had a goal and an assist while Zack Mitchell and Cody McNaughton each scored once to round out Guelph's offence.

Eric Locke led the Storm (4-6-2) offensively with two goals and two assists, Vincent Trocheck had a goal and an assist while Garret Ross and Sam Povorozniouk scored a goal apiece.

Garret Sparks made 41 saves for the win as Jake Paterson allowed all eight goals against on 40 shots in a losing cause.

Guelph was successful with its power play as they went 3-for-5. Saginaw went 1-for-7.
