WINDSOR, Ont. - Chris Marchese struck twice as the Windsor Spitfires dropped the Kitchener Rangers 4-2 in Ontario Hockey League play Thursday.
Derek Schoenmakers also scored for Windsor (2-1-0), while Michael Clarke put the puck into the empty net. Jaroslav Pavelka made 29 saves for the win.
Tobias Rieder and Brent Pedersen supplied the offence for Kitchener (2-1-0), while Franky Palazzese stopped 33 shots.
Marchese's second goal — with 44 seconds left to play — was the winner for the Spitfires.
Windsor went 0-for-4 on the power play, while the Rangers were 2-for-4.
