Winnipeg has claimed defenseman Grant Clitsome off the waiver wire from Columbus leading to some speculation that another Jets' defenseman could be in play before the 3 p.m. ET trade deadline. Johnny Oduya, who is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent following the season, is the player being tossed around in various rumors.

Clitsome, who is signed through next season for $1.25 million, had 14 points in 51 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He also had 19 points in 31 games last season after being recalled by the Blue Jackets in January. He was put on waivers Saturday.

Brad Staubitz was also claimed off re-entry waivers by the Canadiens. He played 43 games and didn't register a point with the Wild this season. Staubitz is set to become an unrestricted free agent following the season.

The Devils announced that Eric Boulton cleared waivers. Brian Rolston (Islanders), Ryan Russell (Blue Jackets) and Krys Kolanos (Flames) reportedly cleared as well.
