Buffalo Sabres defenseman T.J. Brennan in NHL Game No. 691 in Winnipeg on Thursday, Jan. 19, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 9:28 of the third period. A minor penalty for roughing was assessed on the play.
The fine money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
