Less than 24 hours after the premiere of HBO's "24/7," the
Philadelphia Flyers will be on display again Thursday night.
The Flyers, who will face the
New York Rangers at the NHL Winter Classic next month, will take on the
Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre as part of the League's 10-game schedule Thursday night. Opening faceoff is slated for 7:30 p.m. ET and can be seen on the NHL Network in the United States, as well as TSN and RDS in Canada.
Philadelphia currently sits atop the Atlantic Division at 19-7-3. However, the Flyers will be without both forward
Claude Giroux and defensemen
Chris Pronger, who are out with concussions.
Montreal (13-11-7) enters Thursday's action eight points behind the
Boston Bruins in the Northeast Division. The Canadiens are coming off a 5-3 victory against the
New York Islanders on Tuesday night.
Also at 7:30, the
Tampa Bay Lightning will battle the
Calgary Flames at the St. Pete Times Forum.
Three games get under way at 7 p.m. ET. The
Dallas Stars look to make it 2-for-2 on their trip to New York against the Islanders at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Meanwhile, the
Vancouver Canucks visit the
Carolina Hurricanes, and the
Columbus Blue Jackets host the
Los Angeles Kings.
The Rangers return to action at 8 p.m. ET against the
St. Louis Blues at Scottrade Center, while the
Nashville Predators host the
Detroit Red Wings at Bridgestone Arena. Both the Wings and Preds have won three in a row.
The final three games on the schedule are Washington at Winnipeg (8:30 p.m. ET), Edmonton at Phoenix (9:30 p.m. ET) and Colorado at San Jose (10:30 p.m. ET).
