MISSISSAUGA, Ont. - Riley Brace scored a pair of short-handed goals Friday to lead the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors to a 5-3 victory over the Owen Sound Attack in a rematch of last year's Ontario Hockey League final.

Stuart Percy added two goals of his own, including one on the power-play, and Justin Rasmussen also scored for the Majors (4-0-0). Jordan Mayer chipped in with three assists.

Jarrod Maidens had two power-play goals and added an assist for Owen Sound (3-2-0), which won the league title in seven games over Mississauga last May. Attack forward Daniel Catenacci also scored on the man advantage. Matt Petgrave added two assists.

Mississauga led 2-0 after the first period and jumped out to a 4-0 lead by the 3:30 mark of the second. But the Attack clawed back with three goals in a span of 1:40.

J.P. Anderson made 35 saves for the Majors, while Jordan Binnington stopped 25 shots for the Owen Sound.

With five short-handed goals in four games, Brace is almost halfway to tying the OHL record in a season. Keith Osborne of the Niagara Falls Thunder holds the record with 12 short-handed goals in the 1988-89 season.

Brace leads the league with eight goals and is second in points with nine. He trails only Barrie Colts forwards Tanner Pearson and Colin Behenna, who are tied for the points lead with 10.
