James Wisniewski have been suspended indefinitely pending a hearing and the completion of a review by the NHL's Department of Player Safety for separate incidents that took place in Friday night's preseason game between the teams.
Staubitz received a major penalty and game misconduct for checking from behind 4:24 into the third period of Minnesota's 4-3 overtime victory. Wisniewski received a minor penalty for an illegal check to the head of Minnesota forward
Cal Clutterbuck at the 20:00 mark of the third.
The suspensions were announced by NHL Senior Vice President of Player Safety
Brendan Shanahan.
