The Florida Panthers acquired defenseman Keith Seabrook, Brent’s little brother, from the Calgary Flames on Saturday for the rights to defenseman Jordan Henry.

Seabrook was a second-round pick by the Washington Capitals in 2006 and the Flames acquired his rights in July 2009. He was loaned to the Manitoba Moose in the middle of last season. He had 5 goals and 23 points in 63 games split between Calgary’s AHL affiliate, the Abbotsford Heat, and the Moose last season.

Henry played for Dynamo Minsk in the KHL last season, collecting 1 goal and one assist in 36 games. He had 13 goals and 31 points two years ago for Rochester of the AHL. Henry signed a three-year contract with Florida in October 2007 after not being drafted while with Moose Jaw of the Western Hockey League.
