Anaheim goaltender Jonas Hiller is suffering from fatigue and light-headedness, the Ducks said Friday, and will be held out of Saturday's game at Colorado as a precaution.

The team listed the All-Star goalie as day-to-day. Backup Curtis McElhinney is expected to start against the Avs in Denver.

The Ducks recalled goalie Timo Pielmeier from their AHL farm team, the Syracuse Crunch, to replace Hiller for Saturday's game. It's the second call-up of the season for the 21-year-old, who was with the team from Jan. 22-24 but did not play. Pielmeier, a native of Deggendorf, Germany, is 10-14-1 with a 3.33 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage for the Crunch this season.
