FIRST STAR --
RAFFI TORRES, LW,
VANCOUVER CANUCKS
Torres led the NHL in goals (five) and was second in points (six) for the week as the Canucks (8-3-2) recorded four victories to take over first place in the Northwest Division. On Nov. 1, Torres tallied one goal as Vancouver defeated the
New Jersey Devils 3-0. The following night, he recorded three goals, including the game-winner, in a 4-3 win over the
Edmonton Oilers. On Nov. 4, he notched the game-winner in a 3-1 win over the
Colorado Avalanche and he finished the week by posting one assist in a 6-4 victory over the
Detroit Red Wings, Nov. 6. In 13 games this season, the Toronto native has recorded nine points (7-2--9).
SECOND STAR --
MATHIEU GARON, G,
COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS
Garon stopped 75 of 78 shots he faced, posting back-to-back shutouts, a 2-1-0 record, a 1.01 goals-against average and .962 save percentage as Columbus improved to 8-5-0 overall. Garon recorded 29 saves in a 3-0 victory over the
Montreal Canadiens on Nov. 2, notching his first shutout of the season. Two nights later he stopped 25 shots, posting his 18th career shutout in a 3-0 win over the
Atlanta Thrashers. Garon finished the week by making 21 saves in a 3-2 loss to the
Minnesota Wild, Nov. 6. In six appearances with the Blue Jackets this season, Garon has posted a 4-1-0 record with a 1.28 goals-against average, .951 save percentage and two shutouts.

JAROSLAV HALAK, G,
ST. LOUIS BLUES
Halak stopped 58 of 59 shots he faced, posting a 2-0-0 record, a 0.48 goals-against average and .983 save percentage as St. Louis improved to 9-1-2, first overall in the NHL standings. Halak recorded 25 saves in a 2-0 victory over the
San Jose Sharks on Nov. 4, notching his 12th career shutout. On Nov. 6, he stopped 33 shots in a 2-1 win over the
Boston Bruins. In 10 appearances with the Blues this season, Halak has posted an 8-1-1 record with a 1.46 goals-against average, .944 save percentage and three shutouts.
