Flames sign Stefan Meyer

Calgary Flames Executive Vice-President and General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the signing of forward Stefan Meyer to a two year contract.

Meyer, a native of Fox Valley, Saskatchewan, made his NHL debut in 2007-08 with the Florida Panthers. The 25 year old left wing has played 333 games in the American Hockey League with Rochester and San Antonio netting 74 goals and 74 assists along with 449 penalty minutes.

Stefan was a key contributor on the 2003-04 WHL Championship Medicine Hat Tigers team where he netted seven goals, 10 assists and 27 penalty minutes in 19 playoff games.
