Oilers sign 2 defensemen

The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to terms with defenseman Jason Strudwick and free-agent defenseman Richard Petiot. Both sighned one-year deals.
Strudwick, 34, finished last season appearing in 72 games collecting 6 assists and 50 penalty minutes for the Oilers.
Petiot, 27, played last season with the Toronto Marlies in the American Hockey League appearing in 45 games and scoring 3 goals and 11 assists. He has played in 13 NHL games posting 3 assists.
