Coyotes-Preds highlights 11-game Thursday schedule

The Phoenix Coyotes and Nashville Predators will look to start new winning streaks when they return to the ice as part of the NHL's 11-game schedule on Thursday night.

Phoenix (46-23-5) saw its nine-game run come to an end on Tuesday in a 2-0 loss at Chicago. Meanwhile, the Preds (42-27-5) had their six-game streak snapped the same night when they lost 3-1 at home to the Dallas Stars. Phoenix and Nashville will collide at 8 p.m. ET at Bridgestone Arena.

At the same time the Coyotes and Preds face off, the Los Angeles Kings will take on the St. Louis Blues at the Scottrade Center. St. Louis is just 12-18-5 on home ice. Both teams are coming off losses on Wednesday -- Los Angeles fell 4-3 at Colorado in a shootout, while St. Louis lost 4-2 at Detroit.

Seven games get under way at 7 p.m. ET -- Tampa Bay at Boston; New York Rangers at New Jersey; Calgary at New York Islanders; Minnesota at Philadelphia; Washington at Carolina; Toronto at Atlanta and Chicago at Columbus.

In a game that can be seen on RDS in Canada, the Montreal Canadiens host the Florida Panthers at the Bell Centre at 7:30 p.m. ET. Mike Cammalleri and Marc-Andre Bergeron returned to the Habs' lineup on Wednesday at Buffalo, a game that saw the Canadiens blow a 2-0 lead and lose 3-2 in a shootout..

The final game of the night begins at 10:30 p.m. ET, when the Dallas Stars face the San Jose Sharks at HP Pavilion. That showdown can be seen in the U.S. and Canada on the NHL Network. The Sharks return home after a six-game road trip that ended with a 4-1 win at Minnesota on Tuesday that snapped their six-game losing streak.
