Calgary Flames forward
Matt Stajan has agreed to a multi-year contract extension. TSN has reported it's a four-year deal. Terms of the contract were not revealed.
Stajan, 26, was scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent July 1.
Acquired by the Flames as part of the seven-player deal that sent
Dion Phaneuf to the
Toronto Maple Leafs on Jan. 31, Stajan has 2 goals and 4 points in seven games in Calgary, and has been used on the top line with captain
Jarome Iginla.
For the season, Stajan has 18 goals and 45 points in 62 games.
