Martin Jones stops 25 shots, WHL-leading Hitmen rout Cougars 6-0

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - The Calgary Hitmen scored three power-play goals in the second period to record a 6-0 win over the Prince George Cougars in Western Hockey League action Tuesday.

The Hitmen (56-8-3-1), who lead the WHL in points with 116, got goals from Kyle Bortis, Brandon Kozun, Keith Seabrook, Jason MacDonald, Bostjan Golicic, Carson McMillan and Joel Broda, who connected for his WHL-leading 50th of the season.

Martin Jones, the WHL's leader with 43 wins, stopped 25 shots to record his sixth shutout of the season.

Cougars goaltender Kevin Armstrong blocked 38 shots as Prince George (24-40-0-2) lost for the seventh time in eight games.
