Penguins center
Sidney Crosby, who missed the team's 1-0 victory over New York on Wednesday night, was absent from the team's Thursday practice at Southpointe.
Crosby has been bothered by a sore groin he suffered last Sunday in Washington. The injury forced him to leave practice early on Tuesday and Wednesday. He is still listed as day-to-day and his status is unknown for Friday's showdown with the
Chicago Blackhawks.
"I just took a rest and we'll (Friday) how I feel," Crosby said. "When you're dealing with a groin you have to be cautious. I hope that it goes away soon."
