• Puistola split the 2018-19 season between Tappara’s junior team (11-11—22 in 25 GP), Leki of Finland’s second division (15-11—26 in 22 GP) and Tappara of the Finnish Elite League (0-1—1 in 16 GP).

• Internationally, Puistola represented Team Finland at the 2019 Under-18 World Championship where he produced at a goal-per-game clip (5-0—5 in 5 GP). He also represented his country at the 2018 Hlinka Gretzky Cup (4-2—6 in 4 GP) and 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (2-4—6 in 5 GP).

• His father, Pasi Puistola, had a decorated professional career from 1997-98 to 2016-17 with stops in Finland, Sweden and Russia. He won league championships in both the Finnish Elite League (2002-03 w/ Tappara) and Swedish Hockey League (2007-08 and 2009-10 w/ HV71) and was a member of Team Finalnd’s gold medal-winning team at the 2011 World Championship.
