• Caufield (72-28—100 in 64 GP) was one of two players to hit the 100-point mark for the USA Hockey National Team Development Program’s Under-18 team in 2018-19, joining Jack Hughes (34-78—112). His 72 goals established a new single-season program record, breaking the mark previously set by Auston Matthews (55 in 2014-15).

• In total, Caufield has recorded 126-54—180 in 123 games with USA Hockey’s NTDP. His 126 career goals are the most in program history, passing the previous mark set by Phil Kessel (104 from 2003-05).

• Internationally, Caufield scored a hat trick in the gold medal game to help Team USA win the 2017 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge (8-5—13 in 6 GP). At the 2019 Under-18 World Championship, Caufield led the tournament in goals (14-4—18 in 7 GP) to help his country earn bronze – his standout performance saw him named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player and Best Forward.

• Caufield has committed to the University of Wisconsin for the 2019-20 season where he will likely play alongside his brother, Brock Caufield, a forward who recorded 7-5—12 in 37 games with the school in 2018-19.

• Models his style of play after Blue Jackets forward Cam Atkinson.
